MODIFICATIONS that you regret?

I regret my obnoxious nature and the electric fan that shorted out just driving close to water...and guess what, you don't go far in the woods without a fan. Jed said it and it became clear " it's a 22re how much POWER is it gonna free up anyway, k.i.s.s. keep it simple stupid
And oh yeah getting Pro/Comp mud radials. I've poked the sidewall twice now and extra rubber on the side is whats called for around this neck of the woods

Shoulda married a girl who enjoys off-roading . JK
My biggest regret to date has been not replacing my oil pan gasket before I installed the new engine. It came out of an 83, and my truck's an 87, so dropping the pan is more of a hassle than it should be.

no problem--she loves off roading but just doesn't seem to think that I need sliders, tires, blah blah... I can squeeze stuff in, just not as fast as I would like..Guess I shouldn't complain, after ripping a flare off the '05 and less than a month later tearing up the bumper--I had my dedicated '81 trail rig with in a week of hearing, "Maybe we need a trail truck,"

I wish..... I can't even do donuts with my lame open diff. 35MPH circles is about all she's good for in that area. Just for the record, I'm fully aware that a one legger from an open diff makes it easier to burnout, but makes it alot less satisfying.

My regrets are.
See sig line...
They modified my wallet. Ever since they showed up, I never seem to have any extra cash.
But I love them.
Biggest regrets.
K&N oil and dirt injector.
Buying several idler arms for IFS trucks and bending them before I realized people actually made braces for them. D'OH.
Trying to make a 22r into a horsepower monster. Lots of money down the drain for an engine that made less then 200 hp, was picky, peaky and broke a lot. I actually made a toyota engine unreliable. Not to mention having to make it stock every two years to pass smog.
Should have just done a 3rz or v6 swap and been done with it.
Getting into lowered trucks for a few years and neglecting my 4x4.

That is SO true. I feel like if I hadn't found this and a few other boards, I would have thrown money in alot of bad places. As it is, I can spend days/weeks readin here and then go out and confidently spend money to get hwat works.
Worst mod for me: using an Add-A-Leaf in the rear of my Gen 1 To fix the sag. I've just gone to OME rear leafs, and I can't belive I e er lived without them.
Cheers

Jacobs Electronics Omni Magnum. I went through 7 of those P'sOS.
None of them lasted longer than 1000 miles and the last one killed a perfectly good Red Top Optima by running all of the time, even with the key off.
They would probably send me another one but at this point, I have spent way too much on shipping these piles of crap back for exchange and I just can't bring myself to face another install.
