Exclamation free truck (cost on shipping this to Connecticut?)

I found this on Pirate. It's free, I just need to find out how much shipping is going to run. To get a more accurate quote I need the dimensions and weight of this thing.

I was thinking "Roadway" to do the shipping unless someone else has a better suggestion. UPS or Fedex maybe?

I need to know before he scraps the thing. It's in Oregon.

I bought an 83 with a bad frame and later found out that the floor is no good. I can get engines and axles, but finding a frame and cab has stalled this project. I expect to pay a couple hundred in shipping, just as long as it's not a thousand dollars.

If I was giving something away for free I certainly wouldn't put myself through the extraordinary inconvenience it would cause to SHIP something like that....just my .02...but at this point I assume you've gained the owners cooperation. Good luck!

Let's See

1. From the pic, the frame and body looks real good. Your other truck was rusty, however, many componenets from that rusty truck you bought were useful

2. Get a few quotes on shipping.

3. Those models are getting rare.

4. Good potential project...definitely

My .02 cents.

Well it's been about two weeks now, and the person who has the frame hasn't sent a reply to my last PM. I'm guessing he doesn't want to be bothered with shipping. I guess the truck went to scrap.

I couldn't get an accurate enough quote on shipping because I have no idea on the dimensions of that thing, not even the weight.

The parts I scrapped on my 83 were: cab (rusted), frame (rusted), engine (headgasket), trans and transfer case (doing a swap). It sounds like alot but I'm going to do a 22RE/W56 swap and all the other parts that I took off were in good shape. I just need to clean them up a little.

The trucks also a SR5 so I couldn't pass that up.

shipping costs

Try uship.com. I believe it is a subsidary of ebay. You can have people bid on shipping any item. You can also use the estimator function to get an idea of similar items shipped to your area. I had a custom 86 toyota trailer moved from IL to Ny and cost me $450
