Bending hoses to shape
Yah I know the title sounds dumb.
Anyone know how to bend the hoses and have them keep their shape? (As in the way Toyota pre-forms them for the power steering/lower rad/PCV hoses) Looking for the low pressure power steering hose from the steering gear to the cooler to start with.
Tried boiling water.

I don't think you really can permanently train them.
The factory bends are molded in before the material is vulcanized.
Spring form devices are made to help conform hoses into tight radiuses without kinking. Like this. They make many sizes.

Thanks for jarring my memory about those springs, forgot all about them. Next time I go the big city I'll drop into either the Parker, Gates, or Eaton hose dealer and see what they have. Something tells me there are internal ones too.

For my radiator hoses. I bought from NAPA. Hoses already have the correct curves and slightly longer so I just trim length to fit.
