Amature (US: Amatuer) Paint Quality?

just for personal knowledge as well as research for an upcoming project....i am wondering how well amature paint jobs have lasted? rock chips, peeling, fading etc....????? as well what type of paint you used?

i've seen lots of threads/write-ups about painting, but no follow up on how well the paint holds up....so let's hear it!!

I painted my 86 with the rustolum pro enamel paint I rolled it on and it is holding ok I should have not primed it ,
the rock chips I got the first week when the paint had not fully cured the paint chipped to the primer but not metal.
then I scraped up on a fence post backing the trailer up the drive and I scraped off a little paint but again it did not remove ant primer.

so the primer bonded real well but it seems like the paint did not bond to the primer as well as I would have liked but for 80$ and the time it was worth it and when it gets warm out I will touch it all back up.

the few times last year after I painted it and we went offroading it got lightly scraped up from tree branches but the branches did not remove any of the paint just scuffed it.

I am debating on the Krylon or the roll on bedliner. The Krylon worked really well in my cab.
