What is going to be more reliable / cheaper

An 89-95 Toyota pickup or a 2003+ accord manual transmission with 4 cylinders?

I'm looking at getting a vehicle for around 2k, I want to get the best one. I'm under the impression that the older trucks are easier to work on and are cheaper to repair. This makes me think it might be the less expensive option. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Thank you
