Tranny pops out of first?
Oka so this has been going on for a little while now..And its unpredictable..Sometimes I'll roll up to a stop sign and then ill go without a problem..but occasionally I'll roll up to a stop sign or red light and Ill start and try to go and Ill here this loud Clunk and feel it and It pops out of first..Is it just me not givin it enough gas while letting the clutch out? is my clutch going bad and its just slipping out of gear? or is it a transmission problem? Just checked my tranny fluid and it looks in great shape still. And its on my 92 3VZE..R150F Transmission I think.

Check the shifter seat and bushing, its common for them to wear out and cause hard shifting or the shifter to pop out of gear. You can get a replacement shifter seat and bushing from marlin crawler, there a lot better quality than stock.

If the shifter seat and bushing are bad it can make it hard to shift into reverse or any other gear. To replace the shifter seat and bushing you have to pull the shifter out of the transmission to put the new ones in place, its not hard to do at all.

Well now come to find out..My Transmission fluid is bad. I checked it again, and it smelt like old/used convential oil..Im going to a Toyota Dealer tomarrow for a drain and fill. So I dnt have to worry about seals, being under pressure. Like with a Flush. And Im going to ask him if he can regrease my driveshaft, and My shocks.
I'd do it myself but I dnt have a pump gun. And Im not sure what Gear Oil Toyota uses. its only $65 even though I could do it if I had the right tools for half of that but ohh well.
