solid axle swap 1991 4runner

Hello, I have done some research and watched some videos on people swapping to a 1985 straight axle manual locking hubs and I saw that most people do leaf springs. I was wondering if I should go that route over a spring suspension or three point suspension. I would rather do without the leaf springs but if they are that much easier to do than I guess I'll go that route and I was also wondering because I just can't find any straight axles around my area if someone was selling one in the orange county area or if there are any websites that I should go on to find them because I found some on Craigslist but the one I was going to buy the guy sold it the day before the day I was going to buy it.

most people do leaf springs because it has been done a million times and there are kits so it is an easy conversion.
I am in the process of accumulating parts etc to do an SAS on my 94. My 81 is donating most of the parts.
doing a 3 or 4 link is kind of a science. Trail-Gear does make a kit.
Are you going to drive this on the street? Getting a linked front end dialed in can be tricky.
Cost and ease of install is the big reasons for going leaf spring.
if you are a confident welder and have a big budget, go for the linked/coil over suspension.

I see well cost is quite the big role in my build because I do want a full rock crawling vehicle but it will have to be a daily driver for a little bit too because I am young and don't make much but welding and fabricating doesn't bother me I am a worker in a fabricating shop and I'm learning everyday I will be welding soon so I will be building my own rock rails and bumpers but what would be the pros and cons to having a leaf spring suspension besides cost effectiveness and it is the easier root.

Leaf springs will definitely be the less expensive option.
