Skid Plate for 4" Rough Country Lift

Skid Plate for 4" Rough Country Lift
Hey guys! I've been checking this forum off and on for years now but I haven't really needed help until now. So here it goes!
I installed a 4" Rough Country IFS lift kit on my truck a few years back but I never got around to purchasing a new skid plate for it. The kit can be seen here: http://www.sdtrucksprings.com/index....roducts_id=293
I don't see any skid plates offered by Rough Country so I was looking around for another option. So far I've seen the following options:
-Pro Comp (pricey bugger): http://www.summitracing.com/parts/exp-57190/overview/
-Superlift (cheesy logo): http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sl...a/model/pickup
-Tuff Country: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/tf...a/model/pickup
Does anybody know if these will fit my truck with a Rough Country lift? They all say that they are specifically built with only their brand kit (big surprise).
Alternatively, has anybody tried adapting the old skid plate to fit a lifted truck? It appears that I could attach the skid plate to the lower cross member then put a spacer on the front to take up the extra 4 inches. Possibly a heavy duty piece of C channel.
Any input on this topic would be appreciated.
Thanks!

This is one I made way back when, for my old truck when it had a trail master 4 inch lift, mostly just for looks. Just used a little harbor freight welder

Thanks for the reply!
That looks like a nice setup. It sounds like you're right, the only way is to go custom.
I'm really interested in the idea of reusing the old skid plate though. The bottom mounting points only moved down, not forward or backwards. I should be able to mount the bottom to the lower cross member, then place a spacer in the front to soak up the extra space.
I'm not sure how it would work out aesthetically though. I was hoping the spacer would make for a good place to mount a light bar but it might just be a big ugly flat spot on the front of the truck!

No problem, yeah a spacer would make it fit. Maybe a solid metal spacer, because the oem skid plate really isn't that strong to begin with, so if you did hit something, the skid plate would give out before anything else. Besides that, if you modified it, you would have to change the angle and everything.
If you did go that route, maybe the flat spot would make a good place for fog lights or even a light bar. Might want to photoshop it first or somethin and see how it looks.
