rear 5-bolt cover leak?
I'm replacing my clutch, finally, and looking up behind the engine, I see a 5-bolt cover directly under the rear semi-circular seal of the valve cover. Something is leaking oil back there. I replaced the valve-cover seal a few months ago, but I don't trust those semi-circular seals. I used an OEM seal kit that costed the big bucks.
My question, if anyone knows, can that 5-bolt cover leak oil, or is it the semi-circular valve cover insert? Thanks.

make sure to clean off any oil and old silicone with brake cleaner so its grease free, then silicone the round part and insert. Do this for both. Then put a light skim on top of the plug and reinstall the cover.

from 4crawler, It is the cooler for the exhaust gas coming from the exhaust ports to the EGR valve (called the EGR Cooler in my '85 FSM
interesting I to though it would have oil in there to but, vital22re is right in the pic here you can see the staining from the dreaded green anti freeze
