Question questions about body lift, wheels

hi. i have a 1993 toyota pickup 2wd
ive done some research and decided i want to do a body lift and get larger wheels and tires, all for the purpose of looks. i dont think i can afford to care about performance yet, lol

i found a body lift kit by Performance Accessories, a 3" lift from 4wheelonline.com for about $130. (5503M). is that a good choice?

the wheels on the truck right now have a 15" diameter. im looking at some 17" wheels right now, and so im also gonna have to get larger tires. because of the size change, i assume the speedometer would become inaccurate. is my assumption correct? is there any way to recalibrate it?
oh, and if i just look for wheels with the same number of spokes, will it fit?

wow so many questions, so little time.
i must be going now, but thanks to anyone who helps !

Good choice is relative depending on what you compare it to.

Yes, speedo will be off. You can use a GPS.

You want wheels that have the proper backspacing and lug pattern, 6 on 5.5 for a Toyota 4WD, no idea on your 2WD.

I would suggest doing some searching and a LOT of reading.

The 2WD wheels are typically 5 lugs instead of 6 like the 4WDs. Just check the offset or backspacing of the new wheels and match that to what you have now.

Speedo will be off my the % of increase in tire diameter. If an electronic speedo, try http://www.dakotadigital.com/ if mechanical, try a local speedometer shop to re-cal. or regear the diffs to match the tire size and all will be correct.
