Lower your truck for free?

I heard the if you take out a certain part of your leaf spring it will lower it! Can someone verify this?

You can remove leaves from the spring packs until the truck lays down on the bump stops.

Then. if you want the truck to be lower still, you can shorten , or remove the bump stops altogether.

Eventually, the truck will be laying on the tires in the fender wells.

Consult the Lowrider clubs in your area for further info.

I guess it is possible but if I wanted to lower mine, I would look into doing it the correct way. You are asking for problems when going about it the wrong way. Seen some heat springs up with torches and no way would I go about doing that.

I'm assuming 2wd? Toyotaminis is a good place to look at lowered setups. I believe some common ways are to use a lowering block or to reconfigure the leaf pack (either remove leaf or even flipping some over).

Red face

Why not just remove them all together ??

Just put a block of rubber in between the axle and frame.

Put a lot of dirt on it. Dirt can get pretty heavy, and its free.

Yes but you need to play with the leaf pack to make it work.
Pull the wrong leaf and you run the risk of breakING a main leaf
