Exclamation Grip Tape Pedals?

alright i was thinking of removing my stock pedal covers and putting grip tape on them, thought i get a lil input from some other peopleon the idea , and i was doing a lil bit of research and it seems that the accelator pedal cover doesnt come off
so any lil bit of input or help would be great i have a 97 4runner

I looked into something like this once, but it never materialized. I'd be interested in what you come up with, my brake pedal is bare.

yea i already have the grip tape ready and today im gonna get a better look at my accelerator pedal see if i can pop off the cover, but if all goes as planned i will post some pix, and thanks ocdropzone for the welcome so, wat section does this goin?

I like the stock rubbers.

1. They work better with mud, and grime
2. I have had dress shoes scuffed up by the grip tape, can't help heel toe'ing some times (mostly in the honda).
3. Grip tape wears off, then you have to peel it an re-apply

yea i dont know if im gonna do it yet, but i was looking at my accelerator pedal and there is just a pole and and the cover attaches to it, but if i do go through with it i got a piece of metal that i might have my buddy weld on for me ill try to post some pix so u can get a better idea of wat im talkin about

Sometimes a person is used to having a little slip under their feet and having too much grip might take a while to get used to or might have too much grip in certain situations when you might need a little better pedal feel. I know this from autocrossing and grippy isn't always good.

its not a wider pedal the piece of metal is the exact same size as the acclerator pedal i was just thinking about griptape them for better feel but i know wat u mean about having to much grip
