Coolant and oil mixing
#21
Just as xxxtreme said, you run it with the radiator cap off for a while, coolant will spill out along with the air bubbles but thats ok, just top it off afterwards, I actualy have a funnel with an adapter that screws on to the radiator and no coolant burps out, you just run it till the thermostat opens and the level goes down, by that time you are ususally good. You may have to rebuild that bottom end now with coolant in the pan.

So I had the head checked out and it was under 3 thousandths and it looked as if the head gasket was sealing around the coolant holes and I looked over the head and the block and didn't see any cracks, the timing chain cover had the chain wearing into it and I tapped it with a screwdriver and it broke through into the coolant passage but didn't look as if there was any obvious holes before I pushed on it, is there anything else I should look at? I just ordered a new gasket kit and timing chain cover.
