Charging issue

So I left the key in the on position Sunday night and came back to the shop Monday morning to start the truck up, with no luck.... it was dead. I thought that was kind of odd that it would kill the battery like that. No interior lights or exterior light were on just the key in the on position. (I don't have a radio) I jump started the truck drove it around a little to let it charge and everything seemed fine. I read 13.5-13.6 volts at the battery while idling and when I turned the truck off I read 12.6 volts battery. I checked it again this morning and it was at 12.5 volts. I attempted to start the truck and it wouldn't start. It turned over a little but not enough power to start it. I read the battery again and I now have 6.5 volts.

Does it should like the alternator or battery?? I'm taking it to the parts store later today to get it tested.

The alternator is a rebuilt 130amp I just got last month and the battery is a cheapo I bought in august of this year.

Hang the battery on a charger not knowing what alternator you have if you jumped it with a flat battery you may have taken out the diodes

only a chance that happened.
