Change in driveability going from 35s to 33s

So, my 1994 toyota truck, stock 4.10 gearing, SAS, dual cases, lots of lift and 35s is a real weak runner around town. I like having an off road vehicle to drive to my farm 50 miles away, and then put it in 4 wheel drive and use it around the farm. Right now 3rd gear is my highest hear around town and I might get into 4th once in a while out on the road. I do not drive it on the interstate and I don't need to go over 60 mph.

SO, I know, it needs gears. That is the right thing to do. But I cannot find anyone to do it for me (at any price). So my question is this... would buying and installing a set of 33s improve my gearing enough to be worthwhile?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

33's and stock gearing is bad enough, 35's are worse for stock gearing.

if you cannot find someone local to setup gears for you, then order complete drop-in diffs and have them shipped to you. problem solved and youll get to drive on the hwy again

i don' think you'll be satisfied enough if dropping down to a 33 - both with gearing and aesthetics of the lift vs tire size.

Thanks, I appreciate the input.
