bumper brackets?

new to this site, so i didn't know if there is a search part but i was wondering what you all do for bumper brackets? I have an 86 toyota pickup efi and i am making a bumper for it but just wondering how you guys mount them on if you can just buy a nice bracket or if its just as easy making one.

thanks
Jerid

Copy the factory bumper mounts or buy a premade bumper like I sell.

you could also check out like a winch mounting plate and build off that. Thats what i might be doing if I dont buy an assembled bumper.

The previous poster WABFAB sells the mounting plate I think, if not trail-gear.com

Oh, are you talking about a front or rear bumper?

I agree with WABFAB,

either build your own modeling the factory concept, or BUild a complete bumper like he AND I sell. I also sell Lasercut bRackets for the Do-It-yourselfer, but I do not have any brackets for Front Bumpers. If your next step is a Rear bumpers though, I sell some pretty sweet Brackets kits for the rear. Thanks and good luck

I made my own front bumper brackets many years ago to mount up a front bumper I bought:

Still going strong, I have slightly modified the brackets a little other the years to raise the bumper up a few inches and to tie it into my front spring hanger.
