On way to class this morning my ALT light comes on, the fuel gauge as well as the temp guage and tach all stop working. Gonna check out all connections before I take off this afternoon.

Anybody recognize the symptoms and can point me toward the prob?

Truck still ran strong. Belts there. Etc.

Charging system problem of some sort.

Could be a fuse could be much more.

Not knowing just what your driving makes it a little bit interesting

Sure enough. Fuse had popped. New fuse and I'm off and rolling/ charging again.

What fuse was it? Always nice to know the exact fuse for future reference.

10amp fuse marked "guages". Really nice to have an easy fix! Even though I have 2 spare alternators.

It could have just been one of those freak things or you could have some problems in that circuit.

Causing this to keep happening till you find it.
