98 Tacoma Losing Power/Starting Issues
Hi everyone,
Having an issue with my 98 Tacoma. It's the 3.4l v6, and 4x4. It's 100% stock, with no after market parts. High miles @ 265k. However I've had relatively few problems with this vehicle over many years.
My last problem was about 6 months ago when the fuel pump finally went out and was replaced with a quality one. Now currently I'm having an issue in which I suddenly lose all power while driving down the road. It's so random and abrupt. There is no sputtering, or shaking of any kind and no warning lights appear.
It initially starts up fine and drives smooth, as it normally does. After it loses power (and getting it pulled over off the road) it then doesn't want to start up although it will crank. If I wait a few days it will start up and run fine for awhile until I lose power again. Any ideas? Electrical issue?
I changed out the old fuel filter thinking it wasn't getting good fuel.
