96 4-runner TPS code thrown
Hello all... stumbled on this site while researching what's up with my mrs' 4-runner.. We love this truck and have had her since 98 or 99 and dont intend to let her go.
I also love my '00 Tundra...
great site, and i'm glad I found it.. I hope you guys can help, and based on the knowledge I've seen here thusfar, I don't doubt you will.
Anyway, '96 6cyl runner w/ almost 225k on it. She started having a slight hesitation or miss at highway speeds, and feels a bit sluggish. Check engine lite came on.. showing the throttle/pedal position sensor to be the culprit, but i read here that it could be my CO sensors...
How can I be sure which it is before I start buying a bunch of parts?
I appreciate any help I can get..

All sensors can be voltage tested to determine if they are operating within specs, but I'm going to say that if the code said TPS, then replace the TPS. Symtoms fit a bad TPS too. I found an OEM TPS on ebay a while back for about $45. Stay away from vatozone (duralast) and Bosch.
