94 22re valve cover gasket
Hey guys "newbie" here. I have a 1994 22re pickup and I'm going to be doing a egr delete and i figured id adjust the valves at 250,900 miles. Now i looked up a new valve cover gasket on LCE here:http://www.lceperformance.com/22R-22...-p/1024057.htm Now my real question is what is the 9 bolt or 7 bolt gaskets for. I've seen valve adjustments and new valve cover gaskets on older model 22re's but never saw the 3rd gens with the replacement. If you could tell me what the 9/7 bolt gaskets are for that'd be great, Thanks guys!

Why EGR delete? Just asking because it won't give you any power or millage in the 22re. If the EGR is plugged then you can clean it.
As to the valve adjustment you just need the silicone gasket new 1/2 moons and the new rubber caps for the 4 nuts on top of the valve cover. Don't over tighten those rubber caps and make sure you put a dab of rtv on the 1/2 moons before you put the valve cover back on. Easy job.
Check your timing chain guides while you have the cover off as well. The drivers side has a tendency to break and allow the chain to where a hole in the cover.

Yes i know, I'm doing the delete because the valves are sticking open i believe. I figured i would just delete everything that way i don't have issues further up the road. About the gasket, did you click the link and look at the 7/9 bolt gaskets? I would like to know what those are all about

I have never used their gaskets. I have just used engnbldr or a parts house gasket. There are some that putt all possible gaskets in the kit. Carb, efi, turbo. If your unsure call them and ask.
Deleting the EGR can cause you to trip CEL lights on occasion. Just make sure you don't ignore your CEL if it's flashing make sure and check it.

Okay thanks. I did watch the LCE youtube vid on the EGR delete and they did tell you to put a resistor on the plug the valve was plugged into to avoid codes. I guess i will order this kit and just keep the excess gaskets.

I just used the chat feature on LCE's website. They said the 7 or 9 bolt gasket is for the oil baffle on the under-side of the valve cover. Most valve cover gasket sets do not come with them so they usually don't get replaced. I would not worry about the gaskets with what you are doing.

No theres is no visual inspection. Okay thank you thats what i needed to know. LCE also has a gasket that isn't molded that i think is maybe a lil cheaper so i may just go with that.
