91 Toyota pickup clutch switch

My truck is having issues with starting. The clutch wasn't engaging switch so I pulled out of harness and was engaging the plunger manually. That was working fine for a few weeks but stopped working. Replaced the switch but didn't solve problem. Used the clutch override and was able to start. Could this be a starter relay. Engine makes no noise without plunger depressed but makes a click when button depressed when attempting to start. Any ideas to trouble shoot this problem?

The clutch switch interrupts power to the starter relay, so what you're describing is normal behavior. You either have a bad switch or bad wiring to/from it. I bypass all of mine and would recommend you do the same.
