91 Pickup instrument cluster removal help
I am trying to replace the burned out bulbs in the instrument cluster. I have the instrument cluster 'exposed' and have the 4 screws out. But how do you release and reset the ribbon wire and the speedometer cable-there is no room for a hand.
Any ideas-suggestions-tricks are welcome.
Thanks

Pull the cluster out and down a bit.
Release the four electrical connections along the top back edge of the cluster. There is a locking tab in the top center of each connector.
This will free up the cluster enough to get to the snap connector on the speedometer cable. There is one locking tab on that conector. Release that, and pull the cluster free.
If I can get my hands in to do it, I'm pretty sure most anyone else can, too.

Perfect-it worked. This dash has a very tight space and several structures that are in the way.
Thanks-now reinstalling it with new bulbs and cleaning.
Any reverse tricks?
