86 22re iacv check procedure?
Been dealing with a bad warm idle and warm hard start issue with no cold idle up for a while now. It idles great at 750 cold but as soon as it gets warm it starts to sputter and shake at idle. It almost sounds like it is not getting fuel when it's warm. At higher rpm it is ok. The lack of cold idle up has led me to believe that it is iacv possibly but I have the older version that is mounted below and not on the TB. Is this the wax type? And if so how does the diagnostic procedure differ from the bi-metal? All my searching has turned up is for the bi-metal? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
BTW: I have changed the plugs/wires/rotor/cap/coil/air filter/vac lines/ and I adjusted the idle by pass screw and it had no effect on cold idle but I found that it currently likes to idle at around 1000 the best which I know is too high.
