3rd Gen 4runner Rearview Mirror Upgrade!
Hello oh powerful Yota-Tech!
I'm contributing about some fantastic 'junk-yard' mod that I'd looked for on here (without using the right key/search words, of course) and didn't find anything on... so, here's my write up on how to swap your 2wd/4wd 89-95 Toyota Pickup truck rearview mirror dome light out for a fantastic directional 'Map Light' 4runner dome light!
NOTE: here's a thread I found with Superbleeder/Aviator in it, with confirmation that it works, so don't just take it from me and my pics!

So, STEP 1:
Get yourself a 4runner dome mirror (and a sexy center console, if you're into it!)
STEP 2:
Tools Needed: Single Philips Head WIDE tip screwdriver!
Single Exacto Knife / Utility Knife
STEP 3:
Take the Cover off your old Rear View, remove the 3 screws there.
STEP 4:
Using the NEW Housing, press (gently) into the headliner the shape of the two new Mirror's light housing. While the imprint is fresh, cut the holes with an Exacto/Utility knife. Repeat this process for the *two far screw holes* on the 4runner housing (The threads should be there, in your cab roof) Connect the wire, tighten down!
Step 5:
Attach the cover of the lights, and test! It should be all working just fine!
NOTE: When you pull the cover of the 4runner mirror, MAKE SURE you get the *two far screws*. These are COURSE thread screws, and need to be installed in the far screw location!
Now, you've got an awesome directional light and rearview mirror!
