Thumbs up 15x6 Steelies W/ IFS? Spacers/Backspacing?

Hello Oh Mighty YotaTech!

I'm Down in Santa Cruz, getting my hands dirty, and spent the last 3 hours searching for a good understanding of what it would take to mount some Series 1 and 2 Spare tire type 15X6 Rims with BFG KM1 31'x10.5XR15's to my 94' IFS 4x4....

It Seems, from the information I've gathered from the Newbie IFS Sticky and the other topics I found... the Old style rims are 3.25 backspacing...

I have seen Series 3 Trucks like mine with IFS driving around here with the 15X6 Steelies before, and I'm really wanting to go and paint these up and see if they'll fit....

Of course, there's currently a line I have on 1.5in Wheel Spacers if i need it... ( I know DETHRUNNER would hate me, hah hah)

So, What should I do, 'Gents? Does anyone know if these rims will fit alright w/out trimming/spacing? or..... should I never have sold those Procomp 15X8 D-Windows?

Furthermore,

I have previously mounted a 15x6 With a 31x10.5xR15... it was a Toyota Land Cruiser Alloy off a 1987 FJ60. It fit, barely, with no rubbing...

Here's a Photo:http://forum.ih8mud.com/attachment.p...1&d=1317670955
I know that there's some similarity to these... the 15x6 Steelies and these FJ/Series 1 rims I mean... Does anyone know if they're the same? If So, am I ok?

Are you talking about wheels like this?

If you are, they are the old Toyota 15x5.5 wheels or sometimes called 15x6, if you are asking about those wheels, you do not need wheel spacers to run them on IFS trucks. Nothing is needed, I had 31x10.5 tires on and never rubbed.

Never got a chance to install the body lift, not sure if I ever will now. Glad to see you got the wheels on, looks real nice.

Not bad, I think it looks just fine. I'd say keep an eye on CL for a 85' Axle and call it a day...

Thanks for the support!

These are the aftermarket steelies I was looking at but I'm confused bc all the ones for sale say 15x5 but on yoga tech I get the impression they're supposed to be 5.5 or 6 oem stock????

I was skeptical about the red but those look really good. I've always liked the plain old steel wheels these things came with.

I'm also having trouble finding a complete set. I got 2 a few years ago but kinda gave up after that.

I had an ad on Craigslist for some time looking for a set, maybe 2 weeks. I'd say start there. Theres likely some gear head out there with some. Otherwise, go to junkyard and pilfer the ones out from under the tails of 2nd gen 4Runners and 3rd gen pickups!

Pretty sure mine had a 'J 15x6' on the inside ring... but I could be wrong... they also have date of manufacture... and most are at least 25 years old... so, they're out there... just gotta find em'!
