ummm on my 08 taco v6, it appears to have a factory tow package. i heard that there should be a pigtail somewhere to plug in a trailer-brake controller.

i found a while ago where the factory wiring plugs together in the driver's kick-panel, but didnt notice a seperate plug for the brake controller.

do i even need to worry about it if the boat im looking at seems to have one of those hydrualic tongue-load actuated doo-hickeys?

im very confused.

also, anyone out there tried pulling a 20' bass-boat with a 200hp motor on it? what about up the ramp?

 

ok, i checked my mom's 03 4-runner, and located a plug with 2 heavy-guage and 3 or 4 lighter-guage wires to it. im guessing that is it. where could mine be? are there chances that even though it has a toyota reciever, and toyota light wiring, it doesn't have a factory tow package? any way to verify?
