tire pressure monitoring system

Anybody else out there have a problem with this system? i have had nothing but trouble with these things since the day i got my truck. they leak sometimes, especially in cold weather and recently when i was re-filling my tire i snapped the end of the valve stem off with my fingers screwing the cap on. i swapped in a rubber valve (for $6) to keep me going till i got to toyota. just got the sensor replaced so the light on my dash would go out, cost me $220 to replace it!

Luckily I've never had a vehicle with the system, and hopefuly never will. I've heard nothing but problems with them. I think I would have used the 'black electrical tape' mod for the light instead of spending $220.

I'll stick to my $10 tire guage.
