Time to decide which oil to go with.....

Since my current free maintenance plan has expired, I was wondering what oil to go with? Should i stay with conventional or go synthetic? Keep with toyota brand or go with another? Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Also whats eveyones favorite oil filter? I plan on keeping the 5k mi change intervals. Thanks for your help.....

LOL!

I'm gonna get mine in first. Castrol Edge and a Purolator Pure1 filter.

Damn. I came in second.

I run a Purolator Pure One filter.

I've liked Mobil 1

The Shell Rotella seemed pretty good too.

A full synthetic and OEM filter. I Use whatever the dealer uses for synthetic. Cleans out the sludge and internals nicely.

Get filters from the dealer. The parts places sell one thats a little shorter then the Toyota filter and has less filtering surface area in it. With oils I like Mobil 1 and Castrol Syntec.

I like oem filter and car quest brand synthetic.

My cousin works for carquest and he says the their house oil is valvoline in their bottle. And pretty cheap.

I bought a car from my friend that always went to jiffy lube with engine poison(penzoil). I did the valve cover gasket and the cam towers and head was covered in sludge. After 3 oil changes, i peaked through the oil cap and it was already cleaning up. I was impressed.

I'm going to go with Mobil 1 Synthetic and an OEM filter with an interval of 7,500mi.
