Tacoma OME lift on '07 4runner - rear shocks?
I recently bought a lightly used lift off of a '05-'15 Tacoma. I'm wondering about compatibility with my '07 v6 4runner. The front shocks are OME90000 and coils are either 884's or 885's (guessing 884's because the truck is was an extended cab). I'm 99% sure that is completely compatible and will lift my 4runner a couple inches in the front, so I'm not worried about that.
My questions is about the rear shocks. The rear shocks are OME N182. I was hoping to be able to put the Toytec Superflex rear coils on it with these shocks. Would this be feasible? I read somewhere that the lower shock mount bushing is a different size on the Tacoma vs the 4runner. Can anyone confirm this? Toytec reccomends the OME 60020 sport shocks with the superflex coils. After looking for specs on the shocks, the lengths (collapsed-extended) appear to be: OME N182 is 352-608mm and the OME 60020 is 378-625mm. (Will try to include snips of spec data from OME data book)
In order for this to work, I assume that I would need to find the correct bushings for the 4runner? is the 22mm(0.86in) shorter going to make a difference? Am I better off just getting new shocks and trying to sell the Tacoma rear lift (I have an add-a-leaf and a driveline drop kit as well)?
Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!
