Stock Wheel Travel

Stock Wheel Travel
Has anyone ever removed their springs/cycled and measured the front wheel travel on a stock suspension? I know the 3rd gen gets about 6-7", and am curious what the 4th gen gets since I know the CV joints actually have a negative angle at ride height. This suggests to me that they may be capable of more wheel travel than the 3rd gens since you could go at least as many degrees positive on the CVs (on down travel/lifting) without adding any stress, and then add in more angle from there until you hit the joint's limit.
Also, is the 4th gen 4runner front suspension the same as an +05 tacoma?
