Sealed transmission issue - advice requested
After accidentally draining out approx 4 quarts of atf (as it came from the factory), the tranny only wanted about 2 1/2 - 3/4 quarts back - a net loss of 1.25 - 1.5 quarts.
I did the sealed tranny check/fill procedure carefully and do wonder if the factory is slightly overfilling.
Maybe +/- 1 quart isn't that serious on this tranny? I always thought it needed to be pretty exact. Otherwise, I made an error somewhere but can't see where unless the AT temp sensor isn't accurate or I wasn't exactly level, perhaps.

how good is your measurment on what you accidentally drained?
If it was on the floor and you are guessing vs captured and measured is a big difference.
But I am coming at it from a lack of tranny knowledge thats for sure, just wondering if you are overestimating your loss.

I caught the atf in an empty oil pan and then poured the fluid into one-quart oil containers which were empty. I measured it that way at the 800 ml points. After posting around it seems that a lot of people with the A750F have had this same experience.
I dunno.
