Access AC/Heat Blender
Greetings,
I am having an issue with the interior heat in my 2007 4runner. I have had a tech look at the vehicle and his conclusion was that the blender door was either jammed or broken. The actuator seems to be working. Essentially all I can get is cold air and, being that I am coming into winter with young kids in the car, I must get this fixed. Money is a problem and this is an expensive repair in labor costs. I am fairly handy as I have worked as a tech (audio electronics).
What I am looking for is a detailed description of how to disassemble and correctly reassemble the dash to access the blender box. The location of this box is directly behind the center of the dash towards the floor. I do not yet know if this requires special tools or if it the job is over my head. My 4runner is real good shape otherwise and I don't want to mess up my interior. If I begin this job, I need to have confidence that I can finish it within a weekend.
Can anyone help?
