2007 Tacoma 4.0L - Flowmaster Original 40?

Well it's time for me to get an aftermarket muffler on the Tacoma - I like the quiet and all but I miss having exhaust on my rig.

After sifting through hundreds of YouTube clips I think I've decided on the Flowmaster Original 40 series.

Here's a video of a 2006 Tacoma with the 40 series on it, I want to be sure it isn't going to sound the least bit ricey.

To me, especially on firing it up, it sounds very deep and aggressive.
Of course, when the RPM's get up there it does have a little bit of a ricer sound to it but I never rev mine that high anyway.

Opinions?

There have only been a handful of times that I've had my Tacoma up in the 4k range.
I try and keep it below 3-3.5k to help with mileage.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm going tomorrow to get it installed, let me know if you guys think it sounds too ricey.
Speak now or forever hear the coffee can.

Got it.

Love it.

Seriously sounds as close to a V8 as you're going to get with these engines.
It is definitely louder than I expected but its not unbearable whatsoever.

I'll try and get a sound clip of it soon.

It's not too bad inside...only at about 1200-1500rpms when it reverberates a little bit.
Other than that, just sounds throaty.

that vid sounds very good on the low end. Close to v8 sound. All the V6 ive heard sounds too import/ricey at some point in the powerband, thats why Id probably never run one.

This is as close to a V8 sound as I've ever heard in person.
I love it.
