There are two posts in the thread (http://www.toyota-4runner.org/showth...threadid=12217) that give changes and I copy and pasted them here for you to see.

I recommend everyone to scoot over to the actual thread to read it all, it's really interesting.

Sneak peek of '06 Surf thread where he's got some pics of the Surf's new projector headlights, etc. I'll stick this thread Also, I saw that Toyota released the following in their PRESSROOM today regarding pricing:
"The Toyota 4Runner mid-size SUV receives freshened styling and interior enhancements for 2006. All models receive a restyled front fascia that includes a newly designed grille, front bumper, integrated fog lamps, and projector headlamps along with restyled rear combination lamps and rear bumper. Additional styling changes include redesigned lower cladding, mudguards, and overfenders. All 4Runner models include a reinforced center pillar for improved rigidity and increased thickness on the front windshield and front door glass for reduced wind noise. All new 18-inch alloy wheels are standard equipment on the Limited grade.
Inside, the 4Runner features an updated meter cluster appearance, and mini-port in the center console for connectivity to most portable music players. Power adjustable fabric seats are standard on Sport Edition and SR5 V8 models, and optional on the SR5 V6 grade. The Limited grade now receives standard memory seats and black wood graphic interior trim. With all of its added standard equipment and refreshed styling, 4Runner retains its excellent value. The 4Runner 4x2 will carry a base MSRP ranging from $27,635 for the SR5 V6 with a five-speed automatic to $36,110 for the Limited grade V8 with a five-speed automatic. The base MSRP for the 4Runner 4x4 ranges from $29,910 for the SR5 V6 with a five-speed automatic to $38,385 for the Limited grade V8 with a five-speed automatic. Sheesh, I guess my 03 is one of the last of the true 4Runners, huh!! I'm kidding of course.
Nice additions, I especially like the wheel wells too and the updated gadgetry.

Yep, those rounded wheel wells are a big improvement, it doesn't look as much like a Grand Cherokee anymore. I'd be really pleased if they change the gauge cluster away from the 3 round holes look, and gave us something like the GX470. I might have to replace my 3rd gen.

Man a little plastic reworking and all the sudden people love the 4th gen.
It's cool, I'm glad Toyota is continually refining and adding more value. People buying an 06 (or even an 05) are getting more for the money, which is great.
I still think the current fender flares are cool tho.

Wow, I was really tempted to tade my '03 V8 for one with the VVTI... Glade I didn't. The 2006 looks awsome, I may seriously trade mine and and get that.
Kinda bugs me that Toyota has made so many changes since the 2003 year... In a sense it's good because they listen, but heck, they change something new every year.

Not that it matters much to me at this point, but does this mean that the ARB and TJM bumpers will bet delayed again?
I like the 03-05 and the 06. The 06 does remind me more of the 3rd gen limited with those flares.
