Hey guys, I am new to the forums and hoping maybe someone can help me out with a weird problem. I just purchased a 07 4runner used in great condition with 70k miles. Over the past few weeks I have noticed that when I approach 25mph and again around 40mph I will feel a very distinguishable shake, almost like going over small bumps in the road. The automatic tranny shifts perfectly, no noises or hesitation whatsoever, just shaking. I had a tech check for codes and nothing came up, he mentioned shift solenoids but said he had never seen anything like it after riding in it. There is no better way to describe how it feels other than to say that about 25 and 40mph it feels like I hit a series of small bumps, almost a tremble, not a bone jarring bump but very noticeable.

Can anyone suggest where to start with troubleshooting this issue? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Check your tire balancing and the alignment of your front wheels. Also, your tires could be out of round.

If you've been off road lately, check the insides of your wheels for dirt or mud build-up.
