Ok guys my Dad has a 06 tacoma quadcab 4.0L Auto(stock) and when he leaves in the morning a turns out of the drive way it sounds like 4wd is ingaged but it is not. It does it when its cold the most. He had the stock dunlop tires on it, and I remember it doing it more with those now he had toyo open countrys A/T stock size and it doesn't do it as much. Just wondering if anyone else feels this?

 

Have kind of similar problem here,my truck is 06 2wd quad cab with 58k miles on the clock, it makes some kind of noise. only when make slow turns. I think it has to be related to de limited slip, but not sure.

 

I'm experiencing the same thing, did you ever get it figured out?

 

Well I changed all the driveline fluids in the truck, and it still did it. So I checked the tire pressures and they were at 35 psi so I put them down to 29 psi, I think it is factory spec, and he hasn't heard anything yet. Fingers crossed he doesn't drive it to much because he has a corolla for a daly driver.
