06 runner RAS suspension
Looking at purchasing an 06 4runner with 108000 miles, has a clunking noise from rear end and I have heard this before from other vehicles and it was the shocks, that being said, I priced out the rear shocks and was "shocked" at the price of 408.00 each, and that was just the rears. So, what is a better system to put on it if and when I do purchase it, It is going to be my wifes grocery getter so a lift isn't appreciated but I could probably go 1-2" without any arguments. Keeping in mind that we are just purchasing it, and want to keep costs down under 5-600. What is the better way to go, as I would replace all 4 corners at one time, and we do mostly city and highway driving, very little offroading, BUT !!!!

So I have been doing a little research on this topic, found Iron man set up, completed but no spring seats or bump stops, 1000.00
Found OME complete set up 1200.00
and then there is the parts swap meet, parts from everywhere, but estimate under 600.00
Im leaning towards the OME system, does any one have a better suggestion or a better brand than what I have mentioned, and where can it be purchased.

Shocks as the root cause?
Could be link bushings, u joints, even a differential.
personally i would want to know for sure on a clunky sound in the rear end before purchase unless the noise is leading to an unbelievably smoking deal
