03 4Runner V8 not starting in HOT weather

I have gone everywhere looking for this but this is the only time I have posted about it asking for help. This is my girlfriends car that will not start in hot weather. She will have days where she will know that her car is not going to start just because of how hot it is outside. The car will turn over and will continue to turn over but will never fire. I show up and pop the hood to take a look and it seems after airing out the engine area for a couple of min it will start up eventually, but that doesn't always do the trick. I have taken it to a mechanic in town and all he said to do was update the computer software in the car. I took it to the Toyota Dealership and they said it was up to date. I also had them look at it and they said they could find nothing wrong. I am just looking for some ideas that will maybe lead me in the right direction. I am so sick of taking it to mechanics, but if that is what I have to do I at least want to give them hits of what to look for.

HELP! Thanks

I wish that was the case but I have had it happen to myself as well.

She's keeping her foot off the gas pedal during start, right? If not, she might be flooding it.

Yes, I have done it as well. I have replaced the spark plugs as well.

Might want to take a good look at the coil and wire next time it does it.
