What a great thread. I'm logged in but for some reason all the photos are blurry and I haven't been drinking? Anybody point me in right direction? Thanks

It's because Photobucket hijacked everyone's pictures a few years back and I haven't used them since. I'll see if I can get into my PB account and move them around, post a link in the beginning of this thread.

Looks like Photobucket ate your photos again. (Jerks)

Any chance you want to/can upload them all here?

There are plenty of youtube videos. While you're in there, it is a good time to clean both sides of the AC evaporator and inspect/replace the foam cushions on the blend/recirculate doors and duct seals. This job was not fun so I used an OEM core so it never has to be done again!

Thanks, I'll watch the vids. I'm sure the foam in my system is garbage, any recommendations for what to replace it with?

I scraped off all the old foam and used this stuff on the doors, but it didn't stay adhered to some parts so needed to use glue. Don't trust to use it alone without glue, it will fall off. The recirculate door cage (above the blower motor) does come apart to get to both sides of that door (which had the worst foam of all) https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I also replaced the foam seals used on much of the ducts with regular open-cell foam weather stripping tape from home depot or cut strips from the above roll. Just use extra glue since I noticed some of this isn't sticking well either.

Also a good time to lube all the moving parts for the blend doors, levers, cables, etc...

The cage can be seen on the far right in the picture, there is foam on both sides of this "recirculate" door from what I recall and was in bad shape.

AC evaporator was a mess too, could hardly even see any fins on the intake side from so much dirt & dust (was an Arizona truck)

Hi,
I need to replace the heater core in my '90 and would love to see your pictures. Unfortunately, Photobucket says your account is set to private. Would you consider unlocking it? Thanks,
Ross
