woooo car accident!

so i got in a decently bad car accident today, yeah everybody was perfectly fine. pretty positive that i totalled the car i hit.

so here it goes: cruising at 45 (the speed limit) traffic was backed up about 150 feet, and in that spot it never is backed up. so i go up the little hill, then i slam into the back of a mitsubishi lancer i think it was. he was at a complete stop, i couldnt see brake lights due to a bad glare from the sun so i lock up my brakes about 200 feet away and i just slide right into him at like 25, now since he didnt give enought room for the car in front of him (in cali you have to see the bottom of the cars tires in front of you) so he slammed into a ford f150 leaving only a dent in that guys rear bumper and literally crushing his front end like a beer can. so im only responsible for his rear end damage... but i have a bent left fender, my hood is messed up a little, my valance was crumpled and my grill was crushed. im fixing it myself, no matter what the insurance says. and it gives me a decent excuse that i get to go buy an aftermarket bumper....MC probably. just thought id share my first care accident story...

will have pictures up tomarrow.

Yea my stepmom (lives in roseville) and everyone else, stops way too close to the car in front of them.

But how is your truck? Is she ok? I hope not completely messed up.

Edit, i just reread what you said about your truck, MC front bumper with stinger? I want one of those too.

oh yea my baby is just fine. the only thing that was really even coming close to me not driving it was my valance was bent to the point that it was rubbing on my tires...

- i just didnt have enough time to stop and i had cars next to me so i couldnt swerve..

Pics pics!

Glad you were okay, things coulda been a lot worse. Like if you drove into an old school one ton chevy instead of a lancer. Or if a tornado picked you up right as you hit the car and tossed the truck on its roof. Or if sasquatch decided to take a dump in the bed as you were surveying the damage.

Nice!! Just some battle scars, no biggie. And like you said, perfect opportunity for a new bumper

yepp, the tranny radiator frame is bent too and the body part that holds the hood latch and all that other stuff is bent too. so its really hard to get the hood to stay down...

the other guys car is horrible and i kinda felt bad since he was like my age and was freaking out since he was making payments to it and whatnot
