I think it's funny this thread gets dug up and so popular on 4/20.

I don't need a stash spot anymore, wouldn't go good with my badge.

Underwear Safe. That IS epic. Just printed out the picture for the wife. She'll laugh until she pee's herself. Personally, my stash spot is deep in the recesses of my warped brain.

ive been searching all over the internet for an aftermarket steering wheel or gear shifter or rearview mirror with a stash compartment. do you or anyone out there know of any? im seriously starting to think they dont exist unless you make said stash compartment yourself. Somebody needs to start a company. if anyone knows of anything please post a link.

I used to roll with my glass and stash around with me when I had my 85 p/u. got off with a warning and learned my lesson. but about a year later I learned a different lesson. If a K-9 officer wants to search your ride they can and will get a "response" out of the dog by stomping their boot on the ground or something similar. I know this because I sat on the curb and watched the officer run her dog around a "new" less that 200 miles on it car I borrowed from my mom while my ride was down. An officer recoginzed me and pulled me over gave me the 3rd deg. and after I told him repeatedly that I had nothing on my and he could not search my moms ride he called in a dog.. The K-9 officer walked her dog around the ride twice and then stomped her foot on the ground and the dog started going nuts. They used that as an excuse to search my moms ride and found nothing. Then they left everything the undid scattered on the floor boards and left me there. If they want to search your ride they are going to. all we can do is hope we get stopped by good cops and they leave the few bad ones at the coffee shop.

good luck and be safe.

EDIT: also knowingly making a hidden compartment is illegal in some states hard to prove you made it but the wrong officer on a bad day could make your life h*ll.

Depends...

If it an item that is in fact illegal and you are going through a checkpoint remember that if its outside access then you cant be charged with its possession! i.e. gas cap, tires, spare tire if its hung on the back etc..
