I am so tired of this Chinese stuff. I bought a head/cam from engnbldr for $500. Now I've got two flat cam lobes. Just Checked, his phone is disconnected.

This cam had multiple soft lobes. Made in China with spotty heat treat bought from Engbldr.

These pictures mean nothing without showing the other parts of the equation. Your rocker surfaces and choice of break-in method and oil..

The popular RV cams for the 20R, 22R, 22RE and turbo TOYOTA engines will still be in production, we are turning that portion over to the company that has produced them for us for all of these years.

The company is REDLINE CAM & CRANK, right here in OREGON, USA.

=13pxHave you tried talking to Bill?

You've had these parts for about sixteen months as a minimum estimate, lots of variables to account for over that time span.

PS, pretty sure everyone is sourcing dnj/rock cams based on Ted's specs (prove me wrong)

Every DNJ labeled thing I have ever held in my hands was Chinese slave labor junk.

Why would any human working 16 hours a day for a rice ball care whether my cam failed in 16 months ?
Same question on parts dealer here happily marking these up 400% for kids to stay in private school ?
Big question is why your daughter could buy a nice looking Highlander with this kind of crap recently installed

Let's see some invoices from Ted or Tad, perhaps a lot number of the DNJ batch you installed..

And still you haven't provided any assembly pictures of your rocker surfaces, or the risers and where a qualified machinist signed off on "this rocker assembly fits this head and is true and straight", nor that a qualified person installed said head and rocker assembly.

You just come on spewing some pretty racist, and classist comments about people you know nothing about..

@engnbldr , Ted or Tad care to tell us which "private" schools were funding..

Serious man your so out of touch and out of line it's hard to take you seriously.

If it was a bad part and not YOUR fault all of these people stand by thier warranty because well they are badasses which is why you bought an "engbldr" part. But I'm willing to bet you didn't buy from but some third party trying to cash in on thier name..

Either that or you screwed up, own it and move on like an adult.

Millball, seriously man you know just as well as anyone that these dnj cams were manufactureld/machined to a specification called for by, if not the most reliable and consistent one of the most reliable and dedicated machinist to ever serve the 22re community..

.. Lot of slave labor hate going on here for not alot of.reason.. That $1k iPhone you can drop in the toilet and still use unless you flushed also comes out of china!

Yeah China hates use, doesn't mean they can't produce a decent product. Or that good manufacturers have bad days with quality control..

And let's not forget there so much counterfeit crap comeing out of china.. I fully accept this..

But if you've got a legit part from engbldr I expect (if it's not your fault) Bill at redline will make.it right just like Ted or Tad would have.

It is easy to make good on junk parts warranties when a fifteen dollar part is marked up to a hundred and fifty.

If they produced a high quality product, that products price would be comparable to others, produced elsewhere.

I do not apologize for disparaging Chinese goods.

I haven't said a hard word against any seller, or business.

I spoke the truth about my experience with DNJ. Those DNJ parts were actually gifted to me. I did not use them.

If you don't want problems, don't buy knockoffs, no matter who sells them. The cheap often turns out expensive.

Oh, my Chinese phone only cost 18 dollars.

Perhaps I am not as qualified as you guys. I saw lots of abbreviations and talk of coding.
I have no idea what you are talking about. There was no "Duntov" stamped on this cam.
There wasn't a single mark on it anywhere. Head, cam & rockers came assembled. It was pure crap.

No idea what we’re talking about
Yet you drop the name “Duntov”
At least you know it’s not from a corvette

Seems you knew these were cheap parts before you bought em and now you’re complaining... Got a good deal on the shipping though, can’t be mad at that.

As far as anyone knows all of engine builders cams were “made” here and this is where his business went when he retired.
