This was at a river canyon where the hills were really steep my dad said his f150 didn't like the hill much. What could cause loss of compression and what would I have to do to clean the injectors

Lots can cause compression loss and I have heard good things about seafoam and I love bg44k(although expensive) seems to have done ok for me.
Search the board a bit on the compression loss lots of threads on this topic also the injector cleaner, plenty of threads.

Lots of things can cause lower compression, but it typically comes from the engines age. Things just dont seal up like they used to, ya know? Toyota spec is 114 on the low side, but a good compression will be around 165-170. You can do a Seafoam treatment and water treatment thru a vacuum line if you want. Some people will swear it kills your engine, but I've done it and it helped. You can also replace a quart of your oil with Marvel Mystery Oil. That helps the engine too. If you do that keep an eye on the condition of the oil since that stuff will clean crap out like it's nobody's business. Change it after 1k miles or so. Check compression both before and after things that you do so you know what helps and what doesn't.
