actually, if you have the tools and know how, you can chage out the drivers side guide without pulling the head. I have tools to reach down with the v/c off and replace it. Saves alot of time and unneeded trouble

I take the valve cover often. It takes ten minutes and there are two vacuum lines to disconnect that go to the power steering pump. You can unbolt the metal flap on top of the valve cover and flip it out of the way still connected.
The only things to watch are the two half-moon shaped pieces of rubber at the back and front of the head. RTV seal them back in place, especially at the corners.

I'll PM you my cell number and if you want I'll talk you through it.

Hey thats what some other people thought, and it did sound like the headers were making the sound. Thanks, I will check it as soon as the sun comes out here.

It's ticking to fast to be a manifold leak unless it's multiple cylinders. It could be at the collector, but honestly I think that would get quieter as the engine warmed not louder.
It sounds like valve train or timing chain rattle to me. I'd have to hear it in person to make a better guess. If it is valve trail noise due to wear it will actually get louder when you adjust the valves to proper spec. See if you can get a stethoscope and narrow it down a little.

There is another vid at night so you cant see anything but I am reving it this time.
I also took off the valve cover and the guides looked fine. I also took off the header cover and from what I can see it looks fine. I am pretty green myself but from what I saw evrything looks normal to me.
