The meter in my SR5 cluster reads about like yours. I put a real voltmeter on the bus and it reads 13.8 volts, which is right on. So, as has been said, don't trust the gauge cluster, measure it with a handheld meter.

From FSM (22R-Eliable):
With engine from idle to 2000 RPM, Voltages at B should be:
13.9 to 15.1 V @25°C (77°F)
13.5 - 14.3V @115°C (239°F)
Temp is probably engine compartment temp.

Someone on the forums once said that having others work on your truck is like having someone work on your girl and and paying them for it - LOL!

 

I actually already have one of those multimeters its incredibly unsteady and inaccurate. I would rather have O'Reilly check it for free. Besides, I drive by 2 advance autos, 2 autozones and 1 O'Reilly all on my way to work, so its no struggle

Still better than the stinking stock dash volt-meter.
I use for monitoring battery voltage while driving when I could not be probing test points. Enough accuracy for troublehooting. Someday, I'll wire a volt-meter directly to Alt "B" post.

I have a HF volt-meter for rough and tumle application in the truck, while my nice Fluke stays at home.
