vinegar is just acid i used it to get the limo tent the PO of my topper felt like useing made it impossible to see out of at night still takes a little elbow grease i just used a sponge and vinegar the vinegar disolves the glue and some of the tent give it a shot you probaly have some sitting in your cubard and wont hurt anything

STEAM!!! They have some steamers at wally mart for about 25 bucks. Check out the how to's on youtube. Steam works...

I spent 3 hours removing the tint today...and yes, the steam works! But, only to a certain extent...see, my tint is probably 20 years old, and it sure as hell didn't peel right off like the youtube videos. I still scraped long and hard. And I still have the 2 rearmost windows to do.

Any decent tint shop should be able to remove it for you in very short order for a low price. Probably a lot cheaper than your time is worth goofing around with trying to remove it yourself.

Well, I'd hate to pay money for something I could do myself...

Anyway, I'm finally done removing all the old tint! It took me a total of 4 & 1/2 hours of scraping & peeling, but I've finally got it! And yes, the steam worked out great. It would have been easier if the tint weren't so old, but either way, I knew I was going to remove it sooner or later. It looks so much better with clear windows!

My co-worker asked me today if I was going to re-tint my windows after I remove all the old stuff. I was like --->
