Transfer Case Leak

Ok, the newest problem is I have some sort of leak from the transfer case.

It collects at the bottom of the shift linkege and black box that is mounted to the side of the transmission.

There was a small amount sitting in the area up top of the photo where some connector plugs into the transfer case

You can sort of see where it drips from the brass bolt (the lower one) but I’ve powerwashed the area and then driven it and it comes back. But non of the seams seem to have mych oil on them.

At first I thought it was where the driveshaft enters the case but it’s still clean

If you can, pull off the covers to your shifter housing in the cab to get a good look from the top side. You might get a better idea of where it is coming from. I would do that at least to rule out a leak from the shift lever area, since it seems like it is leaking from fairly high up.

I’ll have to look at that just seems odd that there is no trace of it coming from up above it just sort of pools down low with no real path to see where it came from
