transfer case (different gear ratios)

transfer case (different gear ratios)
Hi,
I have a 90 truck with a 3.0 and I am running 33's with 4.56 gears. I am looking to re-gear to get all gears in the R-150 lower. Being a Chevy guy (by birth) I was wondering if Toyota has made transfer cases with different gear ratios as Chevy does? If so, will they bolt on a R-150 tranny?

I understand your desire. 4.56 is pretty nice with 33's on the road, but a bit high on the trail. I went to 4.88's and REALLY like it.
Marlin will regear your tranny. His usual mod is a lower 1st gear and a higher 5th gear.
There are no other gearsets available for the chain-drive V6 transfer cases. (I have heard that occasionally V6's came with the 4cyl gear drive cases, but it is rare)
SOOOOO....what you're looking at is scrapping your transfer case, picking up a 4 cylinder unit, an adapter plate, and the new gears. OR you could get two 4 cyl transfer cases and an adapter plate and run a crawler setup.
