TPS adjustment and idle adjustment
I had a great link to this, and it's not working any more. Does any one have a link to a how to for these things?

I used my haynes manual, it is in the Fuel and Air section.
I was just working on this an hour ago on my 22re
a few things I noticed.
1. this was very frustrating
2. the bottom screw on the TPS is VERY difficult to reach. I used a Z shaped #2 phillips screw driver
3. small aligator clips and an analog multimeter will become your best friend
4. the absolute smallest amount of rotation on the tps makes a big difference.. so much that my results were getting thrown out of spec while tightening the top screw down.
4b. I tightened the bottom screw really tight, because it was hard to reach, and then with a loose top screw I was able to make very fine adjustments.
5. my tps was dirty, cleaning and adjustment made a HUGE difference.
As for idle adjustment, there is a large flat screw pointing upwards right near the opening of the throttle body, adjust it to spec (which is on a sticker on the underside of your hood)..

I'm not sure if I still have the sticker on the underside of my hood? I'll have to look when I get home tonight.
How did you clean your TPS? The outside and the connections on mine are clean, should I remove it and clean the whole thing? I was just into the upper manifold, and it as well as the throttle body had a Metric poo ton of carbon on them. It took two cans of throttle body cleaner to get the throttle body clean. The upper intake took a lot of work with brushes and a pressure washer to get it clean. I think the EGR passage was plugged up tight on it!

I'm not trying to thread jack you here, but I've got some issues still with my tps.
My resistance between IDL and E2 isn't right
gap _________________ terminal _________ resistance
0.57mm (0.0224") ________ IDL - E2 _________ < 2.3K
0.85mm (0.0335") ________ IDL - E2 _________Open / Infinite
when the throttle is 0.57 my resistance is less than 2.3 K ohm, more specifically it is 0.1 Kohm
at 0.85 mm it is only slightly higher than this value.. throughout the full range of motion i never hit infinite resistance.. Is the resistance supposed to read infinite from 0.85mm to full throttle?
My truck only struggles under load at low RPM.. I'm 99% sure my TPS is giving me the headache, i got it wet yestreday.. and the truck runs better without it connected..

I figured it out!! I was testing for the wrong values between terminals.. I was trying to set VTA - E2 to the values in the post before..
I'm gonna get a beer, and fix my error.. This is the last time I try to fix something without a beer..
