The A-Arms are not longer. The axles are longer on the T-100's because the frame is wider than the truck/4Runner, but the front carrier is not proportionally wider. The axles make up the difference.

i bought it and it is frecking great i go 65 on big doppis and nothing bad yet shure depending on what u do more crawl or dezer or what? but the guy that build's the suspension has a web page it is blazeland.us i have the set up with fox10" travel and i like it its like a cheap total chaos. i like it it fits what i needed check my pis out i have to upload pics when it has the 4x4 but will upload soon just got my page...

Be nice, he is a cool guy. If I posted something on a spanish speaking forum it would look like a 2 year old wrote it. Well, to be honest I couldn't even do it. I think he was saying he drives 65mph in the whoops! He lives in Calexico, which is right on the border. There is some awsome desert terrain to be had in his domain. If you don't speak spanish its a scary place to be, I always feel like a fish out of water down there. Check out his home page, there are some pictures. Good stuff!

my 'runner is a '92 4x4...it's already got a 4in bracket lift on it..and some half worn out BFG muds

i want to get the DIY weld up kit..and put it on the runner along with the bracket lift..but i already know i'd flip it in a heartbeat..

hence the beater pickup..lol..

This looks good, I asked if anyone formed any impressions from Pismo over on another site (UY). I'm also hoping someone might have some video of your rig in action over there. I'm nearly sold on the idea, just looking for some outside impressions (+ I just started getting ready for an elocker/regear/front lsd rebuild project, so I may have to hold off on more suspension work till spring anyway)

When we were in high school, my roomie raced on 1/2 and 1/4 mile ovals. To get the front outside tire camber they needed on the car, it was common practice to cut/lenghten/weld the LCAs - given some of the piss poor shoddy work I know most of those rednecks did on their cars, I don't remember a single control arm failure even though the springs are mounted to the lower arm (weight bearing).

I think that since the weight of a torsion sprung Toyota is carried on the upper arms, the biggest stresses the lower arms will see would come from bottoming out. Normal driving or a "respectable" pace offroad doesn't look like it'd have a bad effect on the system.

I have not been to the other site (UY) besides just a quick look and that was a while ago. I know just about everyone who attended Pismo saw the kit on a blanket in the sand in main camp and most people at some time or another had their head peaking around the Fordota checking it out. It would have been great but no one to my knowledge got video footage. Anyway the kit has held up over the years on multiple vehicles under varying abuse. I have personally surprised myself (even at Pismo) of its durability and driven away from some really hard impacts. I have had a number of other mfg'd kits and broken them all in one way or another. This design is as strong as stock but because it allows so much more travel the hard impacts are absorbed.

Hey blazen8 I have a 2wd 91 yota pickup, on the 2wd they have the torsions on the lca, is there any way u cud make a set for a 2wd plz, I'm 18 and school full time and work full time to pay for school, the tc kit is sick but not for someone in my position, plz letme know ur kit would be perfect for me, thanks

Zach, I have had a few people contact me for a 2wd version. I am not that familar with the 2wd configuration, but I do know they are completly different and in that sense would require a completly new design. I am not able to undertake such a project at this time. I am not sure if I will be doing any suspension endeavors for that matter! If things don't pick up with the 4wd version it will bygone Downey, bygone Blazeland.
